Globaloria thinking
My world view has been changed for good I think. I have never been much of a gamer. I find myself now trying each online educational game I come across: looking at the graphics, wondering how they did that in flash. A whole new media has now come into my consciousness.(sp) I see more and more examples of games being used to teach. I found a great Canadian site talking about cybersafety and alcohol-use. The games are in both French and English. That is usually the case with the Canadian sites. There is another one from the Canadian park service teaching younger students about how to recognize if a bear has been in their campsite. I'll chase down the links for the next blog. In the meantime, I'll keep playing

Liz-- can you post the link to that Canadian site? I'd love to have a look at it!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, here is the site. It's fun you can change the language to French too. http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/index.cfm
